What were your thoughts on the music that accompanied The Lord of the Rings. Did you feel that it added to the scenes or detracted from them.
Were there any parts of the music you felt that particularly suited the scene? Why did you feel this way?
My favourite peice of music that I felt suited the scene the best was 'The Bridge of Khazad dum' in its opening bars repeating the 'theme' per se for the fellowship gave it the feeling of unity and the tempo gave you the feeling of panic.
Then as it descended into its more rythemic part lead in by the voices half chanting it gave a feeling of an old power rearising, before the music came in keeping the chanting the hurried sounds and the use of the intruments giving a feeling of dread.
Then when it switches to the choral work predominantly as they reached the outside world and finally were hit by the grief of losing a dear companion and guide it was enough to bring tears to your eyes. For this reason I feel that the music supported the scene totally even aiding to give across the emotion.
